We have an exciting new Discovery Series brew on the horizon! Our Brewer has worked with BackRoads Hops Farm to create a Fresh-Hopped IPA.
This style of beer can only be brewed once a year right at harvest time when hops are at their peak. Backroads Hops harvested the hops last Tuesday and we brewed with them last Thursday. We used 50lbs of fresh, whole cone Cascade and Chinook hops straight from the farm to our lauter tun.
You can look forward to tasting this brew when it is ready in a couple weeks time both in our Taproom at Black Gold Brewery or at BackRoads Brews + Shoes.
